Amazing 40′ custom ketch available for first time in over 35 years. Original owner Adolf Eggi was a Swiss engineer who worked at Ford Motor Company with Lee Iacocca to develop the first Ford Mustang. An avid sailor, Mr. Eggi served as Commodore of the Ford Yacht Club and raced on weekends. Upon retirement he moved to Oxford Md and oversaw the design and construction of his dream sailboat at the then Wiley Shipyard.

Cold-molded using strip planked cedar with spruce spars, she is fast and powerful. Mr. Eggi is said to have single handed her on the Chesapeake during hurricane David.

Built for a couple and occasional overnight guests, LaMouette is truly a work of art. Her self tending rig enables you to tack with one hand without losing your place in your book. She has a comfortable cushioned cockpit, and the unique horizontal wheel allows you to steer from anywhere in the cockpit and then converts to a table for dining or enjoying a glass of wine while watching the sunset. The entire cockpit has built-in handholds and the seats are long enough to sleep under the stars. There is also a cushioned helmsman seat, full awning, dodger, self steering system, locking wheel and lighted compass.

Below deck is a large navigation table, lots of full sized drawers for charts, a filing cabinet, a flag locker, radio, depth finder and older Garmin. Moving forward, the starboard berth pulls out while the backrest is drawers & storage with additional storage above. Next is the head with a new DOMETIC  PORTA POTTI and more storage. Forward is the V-berth with screened hatch and memory foam mattress and the chain locker. Two large water tanks are beneath the berths along with additional drawers and small cabinets. Heading aft on the port side is a large locker, a tiny tot fireplace and the port settee whose back raises up making a deep berth with matching storage cabinets above. Between the settees is a folding table and cabinet with drawers. Continuing aft is a sink with fresh and seawater pumps, a new FORCE TEN 3 burner stove w/ oven & broiler,  built-in refrigerator/freezer, and more shelving and galley storage.
