The Menger Cat 19 (often referred to as the Menger 19) is a classic fiberglass, gaff-rigged cruising catboat designed by David Menges. Built by Menger Boatworks in Babylon, New York, from 1990 until the early 2000s.
It is quite roomy and provides a stable sailing experience.
It features a plumb stem, a wide 8’6″ beam, and a large, unbalanced “barn door” rudder. The massive sail area—around 270 to 310 square feet—allows it to sail beautifully in light air, though owners are encouraged to reef early as the wind picks up. The Menger 19 includes a built-in recess for a portable head.
“Tres Bien” has always been Stored inside w/trickle charge in winter.
