MacGregor Venture 22 Sailboat – 9.9Merc – PopTop – Swing Keel

$3,900

Good day.
I’m sorry this is so long, but I want to make sure you have all the info. So please read fully.

I am selling my Macgregor Venture 22. I restored her about 5 years ago when I bought her and have sailed the heck out of her since.
I recently moved and live on a chain of lakes that I just cant get around on with it because of so many bridges. So, I’m very very sad to say that she is now for sale so I can get something a little more appropriate for the area I now live in.
Keep in mind the motor, trailer, sails, rigging, and all the add-ons that come with it….read on.

First of all, This is not a project boat. She is ready to sail! I see a lot of boats on here that people have “started” to restore and can’t finish. This is not one of them.
She can be put in the water and sailed this moment.
I usually have her in the marina but since she is out of the water right now I’m doing a couple things like installing some new backing plates on the cleats , cleaning, etc.

This is a 22ft sailboat and has a 5ft 500lb swing Keel. This makes her great for shallow water, foul weather sailing, and can be trimmed up for light winds. This also makes her TRAILERABLE, which not many sailboat owners can say. This thing can be put in the lakes one day and trailered to the gulf the next.
She has a Tiller, not a helm, with a tilt rudder.
Also included is a Mercury 9.9 4-Stroke Long Shaft outboard motor. If you know anything about sailboats you know that this is one nice motor for this boat. Most people use a 3 or 4 horse motor to get in and out of the marina. This motor has all the torque to get you back in the marina in a hurry when that storm is creeping up on you and the winds are kicking your butt.
Also as picture is the tilting motor mount.

It sleeps 5 people, tightly. The table folds down and sleeps 2, the V Berth sleeps 2, and on more can go on the bench. I’ve slept many many nights on this boat.
This boat has the pop top, which is awesome for some more head room. I usually tried not to sail with it up just for added safety, but it CAN , be sailed with the top up….the boom does not hit it.

It has a NEW BATTERY and a kick ***** stereo. The VHF Radio wasn’t powering up the other day, so I’ll be looking into that, but just know it’s there.

The trailer has fresh paint, new wiring , and BRAND NEW TIRES!!! The outer shrouds are also new.

Also included is the mast crutch with TWO cradle positions. The top position..as pictured…is for tilting the mast back, tieing it up, and driving on down the road. The bottom cradle position is for dropping the mast completely and securing it horizontally for long hauls.

As far as sails…..I believe I have a total of 6 sails that are included. I have 2 Mainsails, a storm jib, 150 Geneoa, racing head sail, and I can’t remember what the other one is off the top of my head.

So, that’s about it. The boat is clean and ready to go.
Like I said, I kept it in the marina. So about 6months ago during a storm, another boat in the marina got loose and was rubbing up against her, so the motor has come scratches on it, and the boat got some rub too. It didn’t break anything or damage the boat, it’s just cosmetic. I’m working on getting those buffed out right now actually. But just know they are there.

I also have the paint for the entire boat if you want it from when she was restored.
Rigging is included as well as the fuel tank and some other odds and ends.

Here are a few pictures, please contact me with any questions.

Price is $3900 – O B O
